I watched last night's game online. The quality was very poor as the game kept skipping from time to time, making it difficult to watch at times. I had to listen to the Centennials broadcaster as for some reason, this was the only option. A big win for the boys in a tough rink to play in. Merritt seemed to have the Vipers number last season winning four of the six games (one game was a tie). The Vipers lost all their games in Merritt last year. Sounded like both goaltenders were solid. Both made some huge saves and both also got lucky at times. The penalties were very one sided last night. Mark Ferner even mentioned in the post game show, the penalties were very lopsided. A huge win-great way to start out their eight game road trip. A big test tonight in Wenatchee. The Wild with a huge 3-2 double overtime win in Trail last night, improve to 2-0 and have their home opener tonight. The Vipers have struggled against Wenatchee are 1-5 lifetime vs the Wild since joining the league three years ago.
