The Vernon Vipers found out that they will have to fill two more roster spots going into the 2017-18 season. Both forward Jimmy Lambert and defenceman Cameron Trott accepted NCAA scholarships for next season. While it didn’t come as a surprise to Vipers management or fans, the team was hopeful there might be a chance the two veteran players could be suiting up for the Snakes again next year.
Lambert has been a standout player with the Vipers over the past two seasons posting 34 goals and 36 assists for 80 points. He’ll be heading to the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
Meanwhile, Cameron Trott split this past season with Vernon and Salmon Arm, posting 26 points including 6 goals and had a fantastic playoff run scoring 3 goals and chipping in with 5 points. He will be joining the University of Alaska Anchorage. The Vipers organization would like to wish both players all the best as they continue their careers at the NCAA level.
