Kellen Jones is in his first season with the American Hockey League (AHL) Bridgeport Sound Tigers after playing with three different teams last season (Missouri Mavericks, Bakersfield Condors & Utica Comets).

After four years at Quinnipiac University, Kellen Jones signed his first pro contract with the American Hockey League (AHL) Oklahoma City Barons on April 3rd 2014.

Kellen Jones played four years in Vernon (2006-2010) playing in 154 regular season games with the Vipers collecting (39-goals-134-assists-173-points). Jones is also the all-time franchise assists leader (regular season & playoffs) with 150. Jones was drafted in Round 7 of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft #202 overall by the Edmonton Oilers.

Connor Jones is in his second season with the American Hockey League (AHL) Bridgeport Sound Tigers, signed a one-year, two-way (NHL/AHL) contract with the New York Islanders February 22, 2017. Jones made his NHL debut, April 2nd 2017 with the New York Islanders after being called up from the American Hockey League (AHL) Bridgeport Sound Tigers April 1st 2017. Jones played once with the Islanders before being sent back down to the American Hockey League April 4th 2017.

After four years at Quinnipiac University Connor Jones signed his first pro contract along with twin brother Kellen Jones with the American Hockey League (AHL) Oklahoma City Barons April 3rd 2014. Connor has spent the past two seasons playing with three teams in three different leagues. (ECHL-Bakersfield Condors, AHL-Oklahoma City Barons & the AHL-Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

Connor played In 163 regular season games with the Vipers collecting (80-goals-118-assists-198-points) Connor also is the Vipers all-time franchise points leader (regular season & playoffs) with 228 & all-time franchise goals leader (regular season & playoffs) with 95.

(WTNH)–We like to keep up with the Joneses here at SportzEdge, and what do you know? We’ve got the Jones Brothers, former Quinnipiac stars and current Bridgeport Sound Tigers Connor and Kellen, in studio.

The bros are helping the Sound Tigers make a playoff push, leading Bridgeport to one of its best seasons in years.

“It’s been a playoff-like atmosphere the last two months it seems, it’s really close in our division, and we just have to keep winning now,” said Kellen.
