Everyone is anxiously awaiting the playoffs next weekend, so the Vernon Vipers are hosting a skills competition this Friday night to get us geared up.
There will be five events that the Snakes will take part in, along with the Vernon Minor Hockey players, including a Puck Control Relay, Accuracy Shooting, Fastest Skater, Hardest Shot and the Shoot-Out.
I visited Kal Tire Place this week to chat with Assistant Coach Kevin Pedersen, and to see how good I was on a pair of skates (spoiler, not very good.)

Doors will open at 5:30 and the first event will kick-off at 6pm. Admission is by donation and there will also be draws and other prizes to be won.
