Viper Alumni Tambellini & Noonan Invited To Rangers Training Camp:

The New York Rangers have invited former Vernon Vipers forward Adam Tambellini & former Vernon Vipers defenceman Garrett Noonan to Training Camp.

Tambellini played his first professional season last year with the American Hockey League (AHL) Hartford Wolf Pack, after signing an entry-level contract with the New York Rangers on March 10th 2015. In 67 games last season Tambellini collected (15-goals-9-assists-24-points).

Tambellini attended the New York Rangers 2014 Prospect Development Camp was one of twenty players reassigned. Tambellini left the University of North Dakota in January 2014 for the Western Hockey League joining the Calgary Hitmen January 8th 2014 after being acquired in a trade with the Portland Winterhawks.

Tambellini played a season and a half in Vernon (2011-13) before being traded to Surrey on January 10th 2013 along with future considerations (Michael Roberts) for Mason Blacklock & future considerations (Jordan Klimek and Demico Hannoun). In 91 regular season games with the Vipers Tambellini collected (49-goals-46-assists-95-points). Tambellini was drafted 64th overall in the 3rd Round by the New York Rangers at the 2013 NHL Draft.

Noonan started last season with the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) Cincinnati Cyclones, splitting last season between Cincinnati & the American Hockey League (AHL) Milwaukee Admirals. In 55 games last year with Cincinnati Noonan collected (9-goals-34-assists-43-points) & picked up one assist in 17 games with Milwaukee.

After four seasons at Boston University Noonan signed a Entry-Level Deal with the Nashville Predators on April 22nd 2014 also signed an amateur try-out contract (ATO) with the American Hockey League (AHL) Milwaukee Admirals. Noonan has spent the past two seasons playing with Cincinnati & Milwaukee. Noonan was drafted by Nashville in Round 4 #112 overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Noonan played one season in Vernon (2009-2010) In 58 regular season games with the Vipers Noonan collected (2-goals-16-assists-18-points).

The New York Rangers will begin Training Camp on Thursday, September 22 at MSG Training Center. All players will undergo medical testing on September 22. Rangers Head Coach Alain Vigneault will be available to speak to the media on Thursday at 2:30 p.m.

On-ice sessions begin on Friday, September 23 at MSG Training Center with on-ice testing. The team will be divided into four groups for the testing, with sessions beginning at 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.

The Training Camp roster is split into three groups: Group 1, Group 2, and Group 3. On Saturday, September 24, Group 1 will be on the ice at MSG Training Center from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Group 2 will be on the ice from 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m., and Group 3 will be on the ice from 2:30 p.m. - 3:45 p.m.

On Sunday, September 25, Group 2 will be on the ice at MSG Training Center from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Group 1 will be on the ice from 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m., and Group 3 will be on the ice from 2:30 p.m. - 3:45 p.m.

On Monday, September 26, Group 3 will be on the ice at MSG Training Center from 9:15 a.m. - 10:00 a.m., Group 1 will be on the ice from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., and Group 2 will be on the ice from 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
