The Powell River Kings are coming off a 7-1 victory over the visiting Nanaimo Clippers Wednesday face the Vipers twice this season. The Kings will travel to Vernon January 21st in the final meeting of the season. These two teams split the season series last year with the Kings winning at home and losing in Vernon. The Kings have eleven players returning from last season, started the season losing their first four games, have now rebounded winning four straight to improve to 4-4 on the season. Powell River has played five of their first eight games away from home, play their next two games on home ice before hitting the road for a six game road trip. The Kings sit 3rd in the Island Division two points up on last place Nanaimo, one point up on Alberni Valley are one point back of 2nd place Cowichan. Former Vipers defenceman Callum Volpe will make his Kings debut tonight vs his former team.
