The Vernon Vipers are coming off a 6-3 victory over the Nanaimo Clippers Friday afternoon, wrap up the BCHL Showcase vs the Wenatchee Wild tonight. With the win Friday, the Vipers improve to 4-1 on the season. Tonight is the Vipers third game of a current six game road trip, their longest of the season. The Vipers & Wild met three times last season with Wenatchee winning two of the three games. These two teams will meet again November 25th in Wenatchee before the final meeting of the regular season February 10th in Vernon. The Vipers sit in 2nd place in the Interior Division tied in points with West Kelowna.

The Wenatchee Wild are coming off a 5-4 overtime loss to the Powell River Kings Friday also finish the BCHL Showcase tonight vs Vernon. Tonight is the fifth and final game of a five game road trip, before the Wild have their home opener Friday vs Langley. Friday's overtime loss was the Wilds first loss of the season, as Wenatchee comes into tonight's game with a 3-0-1-0 record. This is the second time these two teams will face each other at the BCHL Showcase after Wenatchee's 3-2 victory over the Vipers at last years Showcase. The Wild sit atop the Mainland Division three points up on Chilliwack, Langley & Coquitlam. Wenatchee leads the league in goals with twenty seven.
