The Vernon Vipers are coming off a 3-2 double overtime victory over the visiting Surrey Eagles Tuesday need just one win in their final two regular season games to clinch a playoff spot for a second straight season. The Vipers & Wild meet for a third and final time this season. The Vipers lost 3-2 to Wenatchee in Chilliwack on September 26th at the BCHL Showcase before a come from behind 3-2 overtime win In Wenatchee on November 14th. Tonight is the Vipers final regular season home game, before finishing the season Saturday in Trail. The Vipers have just one win in their last seven games have just three wins in their last ten games. Vernon sits 4th in the Interior Division are two points up on last place Merritt and a single point up on 5th place Trail. Vernon is seventeen points back of 3rd place Salmon Arm. After tonight's game the Vipers will hold their year end awards banquet at centre ice.

The expansion Wenatchee Wild make their first and only regular season visit to Kal Tire Place are coming off a 4-4 tie Tuesday to visiting Langley Rivermen. The Wild are making just their second ever visit to Kal Tire Place, were in Vernon for an exhibition game August 25th 2012 won 9-5. The Wild finish the regular season on the road with stops in Vernon & Merritt. Wenatchee has won four of their last five games away from home. The Wild sit 2nd in the Mainland Division are five points back of Division leading Chilliwack are seven points up Langley. The Wild have one win in their last four games are 7-2-1-0 in their last ten games. Prior to joining the BCHL the Wild played in the NAHL since the 2008-09 season. Last year Wenatchee went 27-25-8 before losing in three straight in the first round of the NAHL Playoffs. The Wild have seven players returning from last year's team.
