Former Vernon Vipers captain Chris Crowell will be honoured tonight at Kal Tire Place, prior to the Vipers game against Salmon Arm.

Crowell will have his #18 jersey retired by the team and owner Duncan Wray.

The now 27 year old from Williams Lake played four seasons for the Vipers (2005-2009), which included winning the RBC Cup in 2009.

Crowell, a forward, is the Vipers all time leader in penalty minutes with 596 PIMs in 213 games.

After his BCHL days, he went on to a college career at the University of Alaska Anchorage.

Listen for the ceremony on Johnston Meier Insurance Vipers hockey on KISS-FM starting at 6:45 tonight.
