GoPro Goal – Viper’s Teddy Bear Toss

Posted by HockeyTube on Dec 6th, 2015

About 400 teddy bears were tossed onto the ice when Vernon’s #5 Latrell Charleson scored on the power play to tie the game at one all against Cowichan Valley. The Vipers have been doing the Teddy Bear toss game for over a decade. In fact the origins of the Teddy Bear Toss game began in Kamloops B.C. during the 1993-94 season.

When the home team scores fans throw a stuffed toy onto the ice to be donated during Christmas time to disadvantaged families. Some of the bigger Teddy Bear Toss games have taken place in the WHL in Kamloops, Calgary and Portland.
