The Vernon Vipers make their third and final visit of the regular season to the South Okanagan Events Centre. Vernon's last win in the Peach City was a 2-1 victory on February 11th 2015.  The Vipers have struggled in Penticton the last four seasons, have only three wins in their last seventeen games at the SOEC going 3-11-0-3. Tonight is the second game of a two game road trip. The Vipers are coming off a 5-1 loss in Coquitlam Wednesday have lost four straight and are 4-5-0-1 in their last ten games. Vernon has lost four straight on the road and six of their last eight games away from home. This is the second meeting between these two teams within the last nine days after a 4-3 overtime Vees victory in Penticton on November 25th. The Vipers are 0-2 at the SOEC this season. These two teams will meet again in eleven days when the Vees make their first visit of the season to Vernon on the 15th. Vernon sits 4th in the Division are six points up on Trail and eight points back of West Kelowna.

Colton McCarthy (14-5-19) leads the the team in goals with fourteen, while Liam Finlay (11-19-30) leads the team lead in points with thirty.

Liam Finlay played in 13 games with the Vees from 2013-2014 before being traded to Vernon on October 28th 2014.

Brendan Barry played last season in Penticton before being released after playing in just one game this season.

The defending Western Canada Cup Champion Penticton Vees are coming off a 5-3 win over the visiting Merritt Centennials Wednesday. Tonight is the third meeting of the season with the Vipers with the Vees playing the final three games of the series all in Vernon. The Vees have had the Vipers number the past four year's going 21-7-0-0. Tonight is the Vees fourth game of a five game home stand where Penticton is 15-0 at home have won twenty straight at the SOEC going back to last season. Penticton's last regular season loss at home was a 2-1 loss to the visiting Vernon Vipers on February 11th 2015. The Vees have just seventeen losses at home since the 2012-13 regular season. The Vees have won twenty seven of their last twenty nine games sit atop the BCHL with a 27-2-0-0 record are ranked #1 in Canada as the best Junior A hockey club. Penticton is fifteen points up on 2nd place Salmon Arm and twenty six points up on the 4th place Vipers. Forwards Scott Conway has points in twenty six straight games while Tyson Jost has points in seventeen straight games.   

Tyson Jost (24-34-58) leads the Vees in goals with twenty four and in points with fifty eight.

Demico Hannoun played one season in Vernon (2013-14) before being traded to Surrey in the off season.
