The Vernon Vipers make their first and only visit of the regular season to the Island Savings Centre are coming off a 6-3 loss in Alberni Valley last night. This is the second of three meetings between these two teams after the Vipers defeated Cowichan 4-3 in overtime at the BCHL Showcase back in September. Tonight is the second game of a three game road trip. Vernon has played eight of their last ten games at home. Since the 2003-04 regular season Vernon is 8-3-0-0 in Cowichan have lost four of their last five are 5-5 in their last ten games. The Vipers are 3-5 away from home this season will play four of their next six games on the road. The Vipers sit 4th in the Interior Division are four points up on Merritt and five points back of West Kelowna.

Lets take a look at the Cowichan Capitals:

The Cowichan Capitals return home after a 2-1 loss in Victoria Friday night before hitting the road for a four game road trip. The Capitals blew a 3-0 lead lost 4-3 in overtime to the Vipers in September at the BCHL Showcase travel to Vernon on December 5th for the final meeting of the season with the Vipers. The Capitals have lost three of their last five games are 5-4-0-1 in their last ten games. Cowichan is 8-2 on home ice have won five of their last six home games. The Capitals sit atop the Island Division are just a single point up on Nanaimo & Powell River who are both tied in points for 2nd place. Since the 2003-04 regular season Cowichan is 5-18-1-0 vs. Vernon. 

Patrick Geary (11-4-15) leads the team lead in goals with eleven while Ryan Burton (9-10-19) leads the team lead in scoring with nineteen points.

Ayden MacDonald started last year in Vernon, playing in five games before being traded to Victoria. 

Mitch Meek started last season in Victoria before getting traded to Vernon October 8th 2014. The Capitals acquired Meek from Prince George August 12th 2015.
