The Vernon Vipers make their first and only visit of the regular season to the Q Centre. The Vipers finish a five game road trip this afternoon in Victoria, are coming off a 5-2 loss in Nanaimo last night. The Vipers come into today's game riding a two game losing streak, have lost four of their last five road games. Today is the seventh straight game where Vernon will face a team from either the Mainland or Island Division. Since the 2003-04 regular season Vernon is 3-3-1-2 in Victoria will host the Grizzlies on October 24th in the final meeting of the season. The Vipers sit 5th in the Interior Division are three points up on Trail and just a point back of Merritt.  

Steven Jandric (6-5-11) leads the team lead in goals with six while Odeen Tufto (4-8-12) leads the team in points with twelve.

Lets take a look at the Victoria Grizzlies:

The Victoria Grizzlies are playing just their second home game of the season, are coming off a 4-2 loss in Alberni Valley Friday night. The Grizzlies have lost two straight and have just one win this season in seven games. Victoria's lone victory of the season was a 2-1 overtime victory over the Prince George Spruce Kings at last weekends BCHL Showcase in Chilliwack. The Grizzlies started the season playing their first five games away from home, will now play five of their next six at home. Today is the first of two meetings this season as Victoria will travel to Vernon in three weeks for the final meeting of the regular season. Victoria's last win at home vs Vernon was a 1-0 victory on January 20th 2013. The Grizzlies have seven players back from last years team sit 5th in the Island Division are eleven points back of Division leading Powell River. 

Cole Pickup (3-4-7) & Nick Guiney (3-1-4) share the team lead in goals with three each while, Brayden Gelsinger (1-7-8) leads the team in points with eight points.
