The Vernon Vipers are coming off a 6-2 win over the visiting Nanaimo Clippers last night, are going for their third straight win this evening. Tonight is the second game of a four game home stand. This is the third of four meetings (exhibiton & regular season) between these two teams. The Vipers won the home & home exhibition series over PG in September. The Vipers will travel to PG for the final meeting of the season, February 3rd. Vernon will play seven of their next eight games at Kal Tire Place. Tonight is the ninth straight game the Vipers have played a team from either the Island or Mainland Division. Since the 2002-03 season Vernon is 39-19-2-4 vs. Prince George. With the win Friday the Vipers jumped up into 4th in the Interior Division, are one point up on Merritt, & just one point back of West Kelowna and Salmon Arm. The Vipers have won six of their last ten home games over PG.  

Steven Jandric (6-6-12) leads the team lead in goals with six while Odeen Tufto (5-10-15) leads the team lead in points with fifteen.

The Prince George Spruce Kings make their second and final visit to Kal Tire Place tonight. PG lost 3-0 in Vernon during the pre-season on September 5th. The Spruce Kings are coming off a 7-3 loss in Trail Friday have lost four straight. Tonight is the second game of a current six game road trip. Prince George has yet to win on the road this season is 0-3-0-1 away from home. The Spruce Kings are the lowest scoring team in the BCHL with just sixteen goals. Prince George sits last in the Mainland Division have just one win on the season are one point back of Surrey and eight points back of Chilliwack & Wenatchee. PG has lost seventeen of their last twenty six games in Vernon.  The Spruce Kings last win at Kal Tire Place was a 5-2 victory on September 28th 2012.
