2009 Doyle Cup Game 1

For the first time, highlights from the 2009 Doyle Cup Championship are now available. The Vernon Vipers hosted the Grande Prairie Storm for the first two games of the best of seven series between the BCHL Champions and the AJHL Champs. This series was a very emotional hard-fought battle despite the Vipers winning it in four straight games. Vernon had to play the series in the old Civic Arena because the current Kal Tire place had been booked. The smaller ice surface made for a much more physical series. This game features the goaltending of current Ottawa Senators net-minder Andrew Hammond who led the Vipers team to a National Championship. Gotta love those super clean boards!
