The defending Interior Division Conference Champion Vernon Vipers make their first and only regular season visit to the Island Savings Centre.  Since 2003-04 the Vipers are 8-2 in Cowichan.  Tonight is the fourth game of a six game road trip where the Vipers are 1-2.  Tonight is the Vipers sixth game in their last eleven days.  Vernon snapped a three game losing streak after a 6-2 win in Victoria last night are playing their second game of three straight this weekend.  Vernon sits 2nd place in the Interior Division are fifteen points back of Division leading Penticton but thirteen points up on Salmon Arm, eleven points up on West Kelowna and nine points up on Merritt.  The Vipers have lost three of their last five and are 6-4-0-0 in their last ten games.

The Cowichan Capitals return after back to back losses in Powell River last weekend.  Tonight is the first game of a four game home stand where the Capitals have lost three of their last five home games.  The Caps are 0-2 vs Vernon this season were shutout 2-0 in the opening game of the regular season at the BCHL Showcase in Chilliwack and then lost 2-1 in Vernon on October 4th.  Cowichan sits last in the Island Division are eleven points back of Alberni Valley.  The Caps have lost four of their last five and are 4-4-1-1 in their last ten.  Cowichan's last win at home over Vernon was a 6-4 win on Friday, February 24th 2012.  The Capitals have won just twice in ten home games over the Vipers since 2003.  Since the 2003-04 season Cowichan has just four wins over Vernon in twenty two games.
