The defending Interior Division Champion Vernon Vipers return home after a six game road trip where the team went 2-3-0-1 with wins over Victoria and Penticton.  Tonight is the first of a two game home stand.  The Vipers are coming off a 2-1 win in Penticton Wednesday have won just twice in their last seven games and are 4-5-0-1 in their last ten.  Vernon clinched a playoff spot for the second straight season with Wednesday's win over the Vees.  The Vipers will finish the season in 2nd place are ten points up on Salmon Arm and thirteen points back of Division leading Penticton.  Vernon will play three of their final six games at home have won nine of their last ten home games have just one win in three games at home vs Salmon Arm this season.  The Silverbacks lead the season series 3-2-1-0  The Vipers last regular season win at home vs Salmon Arm was a 3-2 victory on Friday, October 10th 2014.

Lets take a look at the Salmon Arm Silverbacks:

The Salmon Arm Silverbacks make their fourth and final regular season visit to Kal Tire Place this season are coming off a 6-5 overtime win in Trail Wednesday.  Tonight is the second and final game of a two game road trip.  The Backs have won three of their last five road games.  The Silverbacks come into Vernon riding a six game winning streak are the hottest team as of late, have climbed up the standings into a playoff spot moving into 3rd place two points up on Merritt.  The Backs one of three teams fighting for the final playoff spot are ten points back of Vernon are three points up on West Kelowna.  Salmon Arm is 7-3-0-0 in their last ten games.  Since the Christmas break the Silverbacks have won eighteen of their last twenty four games.  Salmon Arm took the home and home series with the Vipers at the end of January shutting Vernon out in back to back games 3-0 and 1-0.  These two teams will meet once more in Salmon Arm on the 21st.  The Silverbacks will finish the regular season playing three of their final six games at home. 

Taro Hirose (18-29-47) leads the team in goals with eighteen while Andrew Farny (14-35-49) leads the team in points with fourty nine.

Logan Mick played 53 games in Vernon last season collecting (7-goals7-assists-14-points) playing two seasons with the Vipers before being traded to Merritt & Salmon Arm in the off season
