Oilers Prospect Gets Two Game Suspension

Vernon Vipers forward and Edmonton Oilers prospect #7 Liam Coughlin was assessed a 5 minute major and a game misconduct for this hit on Nanaimo’s #4 Yanni Kaldis during Saturday's 4-1 Vipers victory over the Nanaimo Clippers. The five-minute checking from behind penalty also automatically earned the Boston native a two game suspension as well. Despite the very scary nature of the hit, Kaldis was able to leave the ice under his own power. This was one of a few suspensions handed out this week in the BCHL.
