The defending Interior Division Champion Vernon Vipers make their third visit of the season to the Shaw Centre are coming off a 3-0 loss to the visiting Salmon Arm Silverbacks Friday.  Tonight is the first of a six game road trip where the Vipers will play nine of their final twelve regular season games.  Vernon has won just twice in their last six road games.  Tonight is the second game of a home and home series with Salmon Arm as they two teams will meet again in Vernon on February 13th. The Vipers won the last meeting in Salmon Arm between these two teams after a 7-5 victory on November 28th.  The Vipers sit 2nd in the Division are fourteen points back of Division leading Penticton, eleven points up on Merritt & thirteen points up on West Kelowna.  The Vipers have won three of their last five and are 8-2-0-0 in their last ten games. 

Thomas Aldworth (34-16-50) leads the team in goals with thirty four while Liam Coughlin (18-36-54) leads the team in points with fifty four.

The Salmon Arm Silverbacks return home after a five game road trip where they finished 2-3.  The Silverbacks are coming off a 3-0 victory in Vernon last night begin a two game home stand tonight.  Salmon Arm has been hot of late at home, winning six of their last seven home games.  The Backs have just two wins in their last five games are 4-6-0-0 in their last ten.  Salmon Arm sits in 5th place are two points back of West Kelowna, four points back of Merritt and fifteen points back of Vernon. 

Carson Bolduc (16-18-34) & Taro Hirose (16-28-44) share the team lead in goals with sixteen while Andrew Farny (14-32-46) leads the team in points with fourty six.
