The defending Interior Division Conference Champion Vernon Vipers are looking for a third straight victory after a 5-3 win over the visiting Prince George Spruce Kings last night.  The Vipers & Bulldogs meet for a second time this season after Vernon won 5-3 in Alberni Valley on December 13th.  The Vipers have won three straight over the Bulldogs are looking for a sixth straight win on home ice.  Vernon sits 2nd in the Interior Division are fourteen points back of Division leading Penticton and are four points up on West Kelowna and seven points up on Merritt.  The Vipers have won three of their last five and are 7-3-0-0 in their last ten games.  With the BCHL trade deadline tonight, the Vipers are still looking to find a place for suspended forward Trevor Fidler to play.

Thomas Aldworth (28-11-39) leads the team in goals with twenty eight while Liam Coughlin (15-30-45) leads the team in points with fourty five.

The Alberni Valley Bulldogs make their first and only regular season visit to Kal Tire Place are coming off a 5-4 loss in Trail Friday.  The Bulldogs have lost two straight continue a four game road trip with stops in Vernon, West Kelowna & Cowichan.  AV has won four of their last six road games.  With the BCHL trade deadline later tonight, the Bulldogs acquired forward Braden Fuller from the Merritt Centennials today.  Alberni Valley sits 4th in the Island Division eight points up on Cowichan and three points back of Victoria.  The Bulldogs have won three of their last five and are 4-5-0-1 in their last ten games. 

Chris Shutz (18-15-33) leads the Bulldogs goals with eighteen while Kurt Gosselin (12-31-43) leads the Bulldogs in points with fourty three.

Tyler Povelofskie played last season (2013-14) with the Vernon Vipers before being traded to Alberni Valley in the off season.
