Former Viper Connor Jones Named To ECHL All-Star Team:

Former Vernon Vipers forward Connor Jones has been named to the 2015 ECHL All-Star team.  Jones is currently playing with the American Hockey League (AHL) Oklahoma City Barons.

Connor & his twin brother Kellen both played four years in Vernon (2006-2010) are in their first season with the East Coast Hockey League's Bakersfield Condors. The Jones Twins signed their first pro contract with the American Hockey League Oklahoma City Barons on April 3rd 2014. The Barons assigned the Jones Twins to Bakersfield after Training camp this season before recalling the two forwards on December 12th 2014.

In 163 regular season games with the Vipers. Connor collected (80-goals-118-assists-198-points) Connor also is the Vipers all-time franchise points leader (regular season & playoffs) with 228 & all-time franchise goals leader (regular season & playoffs) with 95.

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, owned by the Edmonton Oilers, announced today that C Connor Jones has been selected to the 2015 ECHL All-Star Team for the CCM/ECHL All-Star Classic on Wednesday Jan. 21 at 7 p.m. ET in Orlando, Fla. The game will feature a team of ECHL All-Stars pitted against the Orlando Solar Bears.

JONES – stats

■Currently in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Oklahoma City Barons, theCondors AHL affiliate.

■Bakersfield’s leading scorer with 26 points (10g-16a) and a +3 plus/minus rating in 27 games with the Condors this season

■Registered seven multi-point games with the Condors, including matching a team-high with four points (1g-3a) on Nov. 22 in Stockton

■Notched two overtime game-winning goals for the Condors this season

■Has three points (2g-1a) in seven games with Oklahoma City

■Jones becomes the Condors 19th selection to the ECHL All-Star Classic

■Bakersfield hosted the ECHL All-Star Classic in 2011 and  re-introduced the “Host v. ECHL” concept which has been adopted in the last two All-Star Classics.

■46 players who have played in the ECHL All-Star Classic since 2002 have gone on to play in the National Hockey League (NHL), including two Condors (Connor James, Timo Pielmeier)
