The defending Interior Division Champion Vernon Vipers are coming off a 4-2 loss to the visiting Penticton Vees Friday night snapping Vernon's two game winning streak.  This afternoon is the Vipers second game of a two game homestand before the team hits the road next weekend for a two game road trip.  The Vipers have lost three of their last five games and are 6-3-1-0 in their last ten.  Vernon sits 4th in the Interior Division three points up on Salmon Arm are also three points back of Merritt and five points back of West Kelowna.  These two teams will meet for a third and final time this season in Victoria on February 6th.

Thomas Aldworth (10-3-13) shares the team in goals with Anthony Latina (10-8-18) while Latina leads the team in points with eighteen.

Mitch Meek played parts of three seasons in Victoria (2012-2014) playing in 92 games with the Grizzlies before being traded to Vernon on October 8th.

Brandon Egli played parts of two seasons in Victoria before being traded to Vernon along with Mitch Meek on October 8th.

Lets take a look at the Victoria Grizzlies:

The defending Island Division Pennent winning Victoria Grizzlies fell 3-2 in overtime in West Kelowna last night have dropped the first two games of this four game road trip.  Victoria lost 10-4 Friday in Trail blew a 2-0 lead late in the 3rd last night in West Kelowna.  The Grizzlies make their first and only visit of the regular season this afternoon in Vernon knocked off the Vipers 5-4 in overtime at the BCHL Showcase in Chilliwack on September 20th.  The Grizzlies have won just twice in their last five games and are 4-4-0-2 in their last ten.  The Grizz sit in 4th place in the Island Division are four points back of Alberni Valley and five pts back of Powell River.

Matthew Kennedy (9-9-18) & Brett Gruber (9-8-17) share the team lead in goals with nine each while Dane Gibson (7-17-24) leads Victoria in points with twenty four.

Michael Stiliadis played in three games last season with the Vipers before being traded to the MJHL Dauphin Kings.

Jake Emilio & Ayden MacDonald started the season in Vernon were both traded to Victoria in October for Mitch Meek & Brandon Egli.
