The defending Interior Division Champion Vernon Vipers are coming off a 2-1 win over the visiting Cowichan Capitals Saturday are playing their second game of a current four game home stand.  Tonight is the first of eight regular season meetings of the season between these two teams as Vernon/Salmon Arm split a home & home series in the pre-season with each team winning on home ice.  The Vipers have just one win in their last four games sit 5th in the Interior Division are one point up on Trail, one point back of Salmon Arm and only three points back of West Kelowna/Merritt.  Defencemen Brandon Egli & Mitch Meek will make their Viper debuts tonight after coming over in a trade with the Victoria Grizzlies Wednesday. 

Anthony Latina (3-2-5) & Mackenzie Bauer (3-1-4) are tied for the team lead in goals with three each while Latina leads the team in points with five

The Salmon Arm Silverbacks make first of four regular season visits to Kal Tire Place tonight.  The Silverbacks are coming off a 3-2 overtime loss in Surrey Wednesday are playing their second game of a current three game road trip.  Salmon Arm has lost three straight sit 4th place in the Interior Division are a single point up on 5th place Vernon and are only two points back of 2nd place Merritt & West Kelowna who are currently tied for 2nd place.  The Backs lost two of three games in Vernon last season.
