The defending Interior Division Conference Champion Vernon Vipers return home after a 4-0 loss in Merritt Friday have lost three straight.  Vernon has been outscored 15-4 in the three losses, were shutout twice.  Tonight is the first game of a four game home stand where the Vipers will play five of their next six games on home ice.  This is the second meeting between these two teams in the last two weeks as the Vipers shutout the Capitals 2-0 at the BCHL Showcase on September 19th.  Vernon travels to Cowichan February 7th 2015.  The Vipers sit last in the Interior Division are onlt a point back of Salmon Arm and three back of Division leading Merritt.   

Mackenzie Bauer (3-1-4) leads the Vipers in goals with three while Bauer & Anthony Latina (2-2-4) are tied for the team lead in points with four each

The Cowichan Capitals make their first and only visit of the regular season to Kal Tire Place this evening are coming off a 6-2 loss in Trail last night.  Tonight is the second game of a current five game road trip.  The Capitals enter tonight with just one win (5-3 win over Victoria) sit last in the Island Division a point back of Powell River are only four points back of Division leading Nanaimo.  Cowichan has lost back to back games, has been outscored 14-6 in the two losses.  The Caps last win in Vernon was a 4-2 win on October 2nd 2010.

Brayden Gelsinger (3-3-7) & Sean Harrison (3-2-5) are tied for the team lead in goals with three each while Gelsinger leads the Capitals in points with seven
