Vernon Vipers Acquire Veteran Anthony Latina from Carleton Place
Saturday, August 9 2014
The Vernon Vipers added some veteran leadership Saturday in a trade with the Carleton Place Canadians of the Central Canada Hockey League, acquiring 20-year-old forward Anthony Latina in exchange for future considerations.
The deal hasn't been confirmed on either league's site, but the Canadians had this on there twitter account today
"Canadians trade Anthony Latina to the Vernon Vipers in exchange for a PDF"
Interestingly enough, the Vipers got a close up look at Latina when the Canadians played in the RBC Cup this past May. The native of Scarborough had one goal in five games at the RBC Cup tournament as Carleton Place finished as the runner-up to the Yorkton Terriers.

I dont recall Anthony Latina standing out at the RBC Cup in May. I remember the name but thats about it. Latina didnt put up big numbers last season, how will he do in the BCHL and what does he bring to the table for the Vipers?
ReplyDeleteBeing a twenty year old Latina will bring some experience, leadership and hopefully put up some numbers this being his last season in Junior hockey.
Im going to pay close attention to him during Training Camp and the Exhibition games to see how he does and looks.
