Jeff Cox has reported on his twitter account that 20 year old forward Liam Coughlin will be returning to Vernon this coming season to play a second year with the Vipers. Monday evening Cox reported Coughlin will be back with the Vipers but said two sources say Coughlin may also end up in the USHL but for now is added to the Vipers roster & will play with the Vipers this season.
Coughlin committed to Boston University last year for the 2014-15 season. Several reports on different twitter accounts and college hockey blogs over the summer reported that Coughlin will now join the Terriers for the 2015-16 season.
Coughlin played in Vernon last year with the Vipers, playing in 53 games collecting (18-goals-27-assists-45-points). Coughlin was drafted in June by the Edmonton Oilers in the 5th Round 130th overall.

This is huge news for the Vipers! Coughlin started off a little slow last season as a rookie but as the season went on and finished Coughlin was very good for the Vipers. With only five returning players from last season Coughlin will be welcomed back for leadership and experience in his second season with the Vipers.
