22-Jul-14 The Vernon Vipers have acquired the CJHL playing rights to Jarrod Schamerhorn (95)(G) from the Merritt Centennials in exchange for future considerations.

  1. It looks like the Vipers have solved their goaltending situation for this coming season with the addition of Schamerhorn.

    Jason Williamson stated on the radio about two weeks ago that he will be going with veteran 20 yr old goaltender Danny Todosychuk as the teams #1 tender this season.

    Schamerhorn seems to have bounced around with several different teams over the past few seasons but if he can put up good numbers in Vernon, the Vipers will have a #1 twenty year old goaltender ready for the following season.

    With the addition of Schamerhorn I went back and looked at the five players returning from last year as well as all of the Vipers new recruits who have committed for this season. If all make the team-start the season with the Vipers Vernon is just a few players short of a full roster with just 36 days until the first game of the season.
