On Friday May 16th, the awards evening will begin with a 5pm banquet at the Prestige Inn. With seating limited to 225 team members and VIPs, no tickets will be sold for this part of the evening. The players and VIPs will then move to the Performing Arts Centre where the awards ceremonies will begin at 7 pm. In addition to awards for top scorer, most sportsmanlike player, tournament MVP, top forward, top defenceman, and top goalie, the event will name the 2014 RBC Canadian Junior Hockey League Player of the Year will be named and the winner of the 2014 RBC National Junior A Scholarship, worth $5,000. Finally, a 20-year-old graduating player from each team will receive an RBC Cup Legacy $500 scholarship. This year's guest speaker is Jayna Hefford, four-time Olympic gold medalist.
