Lets take a look at the Vernon Vipers:

The Vernon Vipers make their second visit of the season to the Nicola Valley Arena where they won 4-3 in overtime back on November 15th 2013.  The Vipers won two out of three on a three game home stand now play three of their next four away from home where they have lost three straight.  Tonight is the first game of a two game road trip.  Vernon has two wins in their last five games are 5-5-0-0 in their last ten games.  The Vipers climbed back into 2nd place in the Interior Division after a 3-1 win over Coquitlam Saturday are eight points back of 1st place Penticton.  Vernon is just a single point up on 3rd place West Kelowna and five points up on 4th place Salmon Arm.  Dylan Chanter faces his former team for the first time since being traded to Vernon on January 3rd 2014.  Chanter played 109 games over two years in Merritt before going to the USHL.    

Michael Mcnicholas (19-34-53) leads the Vipers in goals with nineteen and in points with fifty three.

The Merritt Centennials return home after a four game road trip where the Centennials only won one of the four.  Tonight is the first game of a two game home stand where the Cents play seven of their next nine games.  Merritt is winless in their last five and are 4-5-1-0 in their last ten games.  Merritt has lost two straight to Vernon.  The Centennials sit in 5th place in the Interior Division are only two points back of 4th place Salmon Arm and six points back of 3rd place West Kelowna.  Newly aquired Jason Bird will face his former team for the first time since the trade between these two teams in early January.
