Game Preview: Coquitlam @ Vernon:

Tonight is the second and final meeting of the season between the Vipers & Express.  Coquitlam leads the season series 1-0.  The Express won the first meeting between these two teams 4-2 back on December 8th in Coquitlam.  You can listen to tonight's game live with Graham Turnbull starting with the pre-game show at 6:45pm on 107.5 Kiss FM

The Vernon Vipers finish a three game home stand are coming off a 2-1 loss to the visiting Penticton Vees Friday.  With the loss and a West Kelowna win the Vipers drop to 3rd place in the Interior Division are one point back of the Warriors and three points up on Salmon Arm.  Vernon has two wins in their last six games are 5-5-0-0 in their last ten games.  The Vipers have been outscored 15-7 in their last four games.  The Vipers will play three of their next five games on the road.  The Vipers havnt lost at home to Coquitlam since before the 2003-04 season.  (Stats only go as far back as the 2003-04 season).

Lets take a look at the Coquitlam Express:

The Coquitlam Express make their first and only visit of the regular season to Kal Tire place tonight wrap up a two game road trip vs Vernon.  The Express are coming off a 7-2 loss in West Kelowna Friday have just two wins in their last five games and are 4-4-1-1 in their last ten games.  The Express sit in 3rd place in the Maindland Division are five points up on Surrey and ten points back of 2nd place Prince George.  The Express are trying to sweep the Vipers after a 4-2 victory in Coquitlam on December 8th.  Coquitlam leads the league with 153 goals but has had troubles keeping the puck out giving up 165 goals this season.  Coquitlam has won more games on the road with ten wins away from home.
