Josh Betinol Joins the Vipers roster

PRESS RELEASE

The Vernon Vipers have completed their second trade in three days by acquiring 19 year old forward Josh Betinol from the Battlefords North Stars of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League in exchange for future considerations.

The Okotoks Alberta product spent last season with Battlefords where he tallied 13 goals and 19 assists for 32 points. He is expected to make his Viper debut on Friday night in Prince George.

In order to make room for Betinol on the roster the Vipers have transferred Ryan Renz to the 30 day IR list retroactive to September 14th which was the date of his injury.  Renz is expected to make his return to the line-up in a couple of weeks.

Reich newest member of the North Stars

North Battleford SK., October 3, 2013  – The Battlefords North Stars and Head Coach/ General Manager Kevin Hasselberg would like to announce the acquisition of forward Taylor Reich from the Estevan Bruins. The North Stars sent future considerations to the Bruins in exchange for the 20-year-old centre from Estevan.
 
Reich played the previous two seasons with his home town team the Estevan Bruins scoring 43 points in 93 games played. The 5'11" speedy centre will add depth to the North Stars roster and will bring leadership to a veteran group of forwards. His best season was his rookie season where he scored 32 points in 49 games. Taylor will wear number 23 when the North Stars hit the road this weekend with games in Yorkton and Melville. The North Stars would like to welcome Taylor and his family to the organization. 

In a separate transaction, the North Stars moved 94-born forward Josh Betinol to the Vernon Vipers of the BCHL in exchange for future considerations. Betinol was the North Stars playoff MVP and team Rookie of the Year during the 2012-13 SJHL season. The North Stars would like to thank Josh for his time spent within the organization and wish him continued success with the Vernon Vipers.
