MacGregor, Noonan Named 2013-14 Men's Ice Hockey Captains
Senior defensemen to lead young squad

Oct. 4, 2013

BOSTON - Senior defensemen Patrick MacGregor and Garrett Noonan have been named co-captains of the 2013-14 Boston University men's ice hockey team, as announced today by first-year head coach David Quinn.

"Over the last six months I've been really impressed by the senior leadership on this team both on and off the ice," said Quinn. "Garrett and Patrick were selected following a team vote and they both have what it takes to be a great leader. They'll have the help of their fellow seniors as well, which will be very important with 10 newcomers this year."

MacGregor earned a regular spot in the Terrier lineup last season and has totaled eight assists in 79 career contests. A 2012 Hockey East Second Team All-Star, Noonan has 61 career points (26g, 35a) and was appointed an assistant captain midway through the 2012-13 season.

The Terriers will host St. Francis Xavier for an exhibition contest on Saturday (Oct. 5) at 7 p.m. before officially opening their 2013-14 season with a home contest against Massachusetts on Oct. 11.
