Hockeytube.net is proud to present ‘Building A Champion 2: Road To The Royal Bank Cup’. This is the second season of our series that takes viewers behind the scenes of one of the most successful Junior A hockey teams in Canada. This year the Vernon Vipers will be hosting the RBC National Championship in May.
The national championship appearance will be the 10th for Vernon – as the team has won a record 6 national championship titles in the past 25 years!
In 42 years, only three teams have won back-to-back championships, and Vernon has done it twice – as the Lakers in 1990 and 1991, and as the Vipers in 2009 and 2010. In 2011, they almost pulled off the unthinkable, reaching the national final in a quest for an unprecedented third straight title.
Hockeytube.net will be producing 8 episodes of this compelling series that looks at the players and coaching staff and the journey to the RBC Championship in May.
