BCHL Showcase: Game Preview: Vernon @ Chilliwack:

Lets take a look at the Vernon Vipers:

The Vipers opened the 2013-14 regular season with a 7-3 victory over the Surrey Eagles Saturday morning in Chilliwack.  Vernon will finish its second and final game of the BCHL Showcase tonight vs Chilliwack.  Tonight is the Vipers second game of a current three game road trip.  Vernon plays four of its first five games away from home to start the new season.  The Vipers last win in Chilliwack was thirteen years ago.  Liam Coughlin leads the Vipers (2-1-3) with three points.   

Mason Blacklock (19-16-35) lead the Vipers last season in goals with nineteen and in points with thirty five.

Lets take a look at the Chilliwack Chiefs:

The hometown Chiefs opened the BCHL regular season with a 6-1 loss to Powell River last night.  Chilliwack will finish its two game homestand  tonight before hitting the road for two games up North next weekend in Prince George.  The Chiefs will play four of their first six games at home.  Chilliwack has nine returning players from last season will face the Vipers three times in their first ten games. 

Austin Plevy (30-43-73) lead the  Chiefs last season in goals with thirty and in points with seventy three.
