Lets take a look at the Vernon Vipers:

The Vipers are coming off back to back years of missing the BCHL playoffs host the 2014 Royal Bank Cup this May.  Vernon has 12 returning players from last years club will start the 2013-14 BCHL season with a three game road trip before the teams home opener vs the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.  The Vipers are coming off back to back losses to the West Kelowna Warriors in pre-season action finished with a 2-3 exhibition record.  Demico Hannoun & Mason Blacklock will play against there former squad for the first time, after being involved in a trade in January last year. 

Mason Blacklock (19-16-35) lead the Vipers last season in goals with nineteen and in points with thirty five.

Lets take a look at the Surrey Eagles:

The defending league cahmpion Surrey Eagles opened up the 2013-14 BCHL regular season with a 3-0 victory over the West Kelowna Warriors Friday in Chilliwack.  The Fred Page Cup Champion Eagles have just 5 returning players from last years team that went to the RBC Cup.  Surrey went 1-1-1-0 during exhibition play will face the Vipers three times in the teams first eight games of the regular season.  Michael Roberts & Braeden Russell will face there former team for the first time today, as Roberts come over in the Adam Tambellini trade at last season's BCHL trade deadline, while Russell was traded back to the BCHL over the off season.

Brady Shaw (38-32-70) lead the team in goals last seaosn with thirty eight and in points last year with seventy.
