Panthers Recall Former Viper Mike Santorelli:

The NHL Florida Pantehrs have recalled former Vernon Vipers forward Mike Santorelli from the American Hockey League's (AHL) San Antonio Rampage. Santorelli entering his third season with the Panthers played in three games this season before being sent to the Rampage on January, 30th 2013. In 7 games with San Antonio Santorelli collected (2-3-5).  In 60 games last year with the Panthers Santorelli collected (9-2-11). Santorelli was drafted by the Nashville Predators in round 6 178th overall at the 2004 NHL Entry Draft before being traded to the Florida Panthers on August, 5th 2010. Santorelli played one season in Vernon (2003-2004). In 60 regular season games with the Vipers Santorelli collected (43-53-96).

SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers Executive VP/General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has recalled C Mike Santorelli from the San Antonio Rampage (AHL).

Santorelli, 27, played in three games with Florida this season, before being assigned to San Antonio on Jan. 31. In seven games with the Rampage this year, he has recorded two goals and three assists.

For his career in the National Hockey League, Santorelli, has played in 177 games for both Nashville (2008-2010) and Florida (2010-2013) registering 55 points (31-24-55) and 50 PIM.

Florida hosts the Toronto Maple Leafs this evening in their final game of a four-game home stand at 7:30 p.m. The game can be seen live on FOX Sports Florida and heard on 560 WQAM.
