Rush Trade Former Viper Reaney To Wichita:

The CHL Rapid City Rush have traded former Vernon Vipers forward Les Reaney to the CHL Wichita Thunder.  Reaney spent parts of the last five seasons with the Rush. In 52 regular season games with the Rush last season, Reaney collected 14 goals, 30 assists & 44 points.  Reaney played parts of two seasons in Vernon (2002-2004) after coming over to the Vipers in a trade with the Alberni Valley Bulldogs. In 2003-04 Reaney along with Jordan Starke were traded at the BCHL trade deadline to Williams Lake for Jeff Royston.

(Rapid City, SD) – The Rapid City Rush, in conjunction with the Wichita Thunder, announced on Thursday the completion of a trade that sends center Les Reaney to the Thunder in exchange for future considerations.

Reaney, appeared in 186 games for the Rush where he totaled 70 goals and 124 assists for 194 points. The Ceylon, Saskatchewan native had his best season in 2009-10 when he paced the Rush with 86 points during the regular season and 26 playoff points en route to playoff MVP recognition.
