Grizzlies Trade Former Viper Ten Vaanholt To Spruce Kings:

The Victoria Grizzlies traded former Vernon Viper forward, Jarryd Ten Vaanholt to the Prince George Spruce Kings. The Vipers aquired Ten Vaanholt and defenceman, Justin Elliott from the SJHL Kindersley Klippers back on August, 2nd 2011 for forward, Dane Muench & defenceman, Phillip Patenaude. The Vipers then traded Ten Vaanholt to Victoria for future considerations back on September, 19th 2011

PRINCE GEORGE, BC – The Prince George Spruce Kings of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) have acquired Jarryd Ten Vaanholt from the Victoria Grizzlies of the BCHL in exchange for future considerations.


Jarryd Ten Vaanholt is a 6' 2" 205 lbs '91 born forward from West Vancouver, BC. Playing in his second full season in the BCHL, Ten Vaanholt has a record of 39 goals and 52 assists in 97 games.

"We're very excited to add a player of Jarryd's ability and character to our team," said Spruce Kings General Manager, Mike Hawes. "Jarryd is a proven all around good player in our league and has been able to put up good offensive numbers and will improve our offensive depth up front."

Jarryd Ten Vaanholt is expected to be with the Spruce Kings for a couple of practices before the team heads out for three games on the road. The Spruce Kings are in Chilliwack Friday night, Penticton Saturday night and Vernon on Sunday afternoon.
