This is posted on the BCHL website:
29-Nov-11 The Vernon Vipers Hockey Club transfers the playing rights of Alex Hagen (92)(C) to the Surrey Eagles Hockey Club in exchange for future considerations.
Alex Hagen's Player Profile:

why was hagan let go? Guess he asked to be released?
ReplyDeletePatrick McGillis and Luke Juha are both out of the Vipers lineup with injuries. Both players were expected to be out more then a few weeks, so instead of calling up a bunch of "AP"s each game the Vipers aquired and signed forwards, Peter McMullen and Brendan Persley wich put the Vipers over the 21 man roster. The Vipers had to take both McGillis and Juha off the Vipers roster making room for Persley and McMullen.
ReplyDeleteNow that the BCHL card deadline is tomorrow the Vipers need to re-add-sign McGillis and Juha before tomorrow so they wont burn any cards after tomorrow's deadline. This meaning two players had to be released-traded before tomorrows deadline.
After the trade for Ben Gamache on Sunday the Vipers were still at 22 players meaning someone (Alex Hagen) had to be moved.
Hagen looked and played very well in training camp and during the pre-season but has yet to really get his game going since the start of the season. Here is a player that was easy to trade.
