The Vipers make their second visit of the season to the South Okanagan Events Centre riding a six game losing streak. The Vipers who are 1-3 against the league leading Penticton Vees this year have made two trades this week heading into the BCHL card deadline (Thursday). This is the second game of a mini two game road trip for Vernon before playing a home and home with the Merritt Centennials this weekend. Newcomer Ben Gamache is supose to make his Vipers debut tonight.

The league leading Penticton Vees come into tonight's game riding a nine game winning streak facing the Vipers for a second time within a week. Penticton defeated Vernon 6-1 last Wednesday in Vernon. Tonight is the Vees second and final game of a mini two game home stand before the club hits the road for the next six games. Penticton plays six of its next nine on the road. The Vees with just one loss on home ice face a Vernon team that is 500 away from home in one of the oldest rivalries in the BCHL.
