The Vipers return home after a small three game road trip going 1-2, will now play five of the next eight games on home ice.  After starting the BCHL regular season with a 7-0 record, Vernon has dropped back to back games heading into tonights contest in a rematch vs the Penticton Vees after a 6-2 Vees win last Saturday night in the Peach City.  A win tonight and the Vipers will pass the Vees climbing back into top spot in the Interior Conference moving one point ahead of Penticton.  Vernon will play its first of three straight games this weekend (Penticton, Trail & Prince George).  The Vipers have aquired 18 year old forward, Peter McMullen who is supose to make his Vipers debut tonight.

The Penticton Vees make their first visit of the regular season to the Wesbild Centre since a 3-2 loss in Vernon back on Saturday, February 5th 2011.  The Vees looking to move three points ahead of Vernon who are currently playing their second game of a mini two game road trip.  Penticton with a 4-3 loss in Trail Wednesday night have played four of their last five games away from home.  After tonight the Vees will play five of their next six games at the South Okanagan Events Centre.  One of the longest rivalries in the league may get heated up over the next few weeks, after a 6-2 Vees win last weekend these same two teams will meet again on November 2nd.  The Vees just like the Vipers are also playing three straight games this weekend (Vernon, Cowichan Valley & Surrey).
