MILLEY SCORES TWICE TO LEAD LUMBER KINGS TO FIRST WIN

CAMROSE, Alta. – Jonathan Milley scored twice in a span of 73 seconds early in the second period to turn a 1-0 lead into a 3-0 advantage as the Pembroke Lumber Kings earned their first win of the 2011 RBC Cup, 5-2 over the Wellington Dukes on Monday night.

Cam Yuill scored both goals for Wellington (0-2), which outshot its opponent for the second night in a row – it held a 30-22 advantage over the Lumber Kings – but is still looking for its first victory.

After playing on back-to-back days both teams will enjoy a day off Tuesday before getting back to action on Wednesday. Wellington takes on first-place Vernon in the early game (3:30 p.m. MT), while Pembroke meets host Camrose in the nightcap (7:30 p.m. MT).
