The Merritt Centennials held their annual year end awards banquet over the weekend with former Vernon Vipers tryout forward, Jeff Jones being named MVP as well as former Vernon Vipers defenceman, Steve Tresierra being named Top Defenceman, Most Dedicated and picking up the Ska-Lu-La Award. Jones attended the Vipers training camp last season before being released during the pre-season. Tresierra played two years with the Vipers (2007-2009) before being traded to the Merritt Centennials at the BCHL trade deadline.
