Tonight is the second straight exibition meeting between these two teams as the defending back to back Royal Bank Cup Champion Vernon Vipers face off against the Salmon Arm Silverbacks. Game starts at 7:00pm

Let's take a look at the Vernon Vipers:

Vernon finished atop the BCHL standings last season with a record of 51-6-0-3 winning the 2010 Royal Bank Cup. The Vipers have just seven players back from last years championship team. The Vipers still have 28 kids on their roster, meaning they need to make 5 more cuts after this weekened to get down to the teams 23 man roster for the start of the regular season. Tonight is the Vipers final exibition game as they will be trying to go a perfect 4-0. Vernon has two wins over Trail with scores of 4-0 and 4-3 and last nights 3-0 win over Salmon Arm. Vernon has played three out of its four exibition games away from home.

Salmon Arm finished the regular season last year with a record of 29-25-3-3 finishing off in 4th place in the Interior Division, but went out in five games in the first round of the playoffs to the Quesnel Millionaires. The Backs have a possible fifteen players returning from last years hockey club. Salmon Arm with just a single win (8-4) over Merritt in the exibition season also has two losses to Vernon (3-0) & Merritt (7-6) Both these same two teams will face off next weekend in a home and home series to kick off the start of the BCHL regular season.
