Mark Ferner will be looking for a better effort tonight from his troops after his club hasn’t played very well over the last two games.

Curtis Gedig faces his former team for the first time since being traded to Vernon.

The Vipers need to jump on a Capitals team that has been struggling lately.

The Vipers need to tighten up defensively after making several errots in their own end last night.
A team known for their defensive hockey has given up 9 goals over the last two games.

Let’s take a look at the Cowichan Valley Capitals:

The Capitals currently sit in 7th place in the Coastal Conference with a record of 16-28-0-2 eight points back of the Nanaimo Clippers. The Caps have scored 133 goals but have had troubles keeping the puck out of their net giving up 197 goals. Cowichan Valley is 7-14-0-1 on home ice & 9-14-0-1 on the road. The Caps will be looking for revenge after being blown out 14-0 in Vernon back in October.

Nick Amies faces his former team since being traded to Cowichan Valley.

Caps Head Coach Dale Purinton is a former Vernon lakers defenceman.

Cowichan Valley cant fall behind early and play catch up hockey vs. the leagues top team.

Cowichan needs to play physical against a much smaller Vernon team that useses their speed and skill.
