Vipers & Vees Meet Once Again....

The defending BCHL Champion Penticton Valley First Vees knocked off the Prince George Spruce Kings in five games last night to take the 1st Round series 3-2. The Vees blew a 2-0 series lead but managed to hang on, defeating PG last night 6-4 in front of 1,357 fans at the South Okanagan Events Centre. Derik Johnson, Curtis McKenzie, Devon Krogh, Max Grassi & Ryan Johansen with two goals lead the scoring attack for Penticton. Jordan White made 27 saves picking up the win. Vinny Muchalla, Zach Davies, & Alex Goodship with (2) lead the Spruce Kings scoring in a lossing cause. All-Star goaltender, Kevin Genoe took the loss making 28 saves. Penticton now has just one day off before jumping on the bus for games 1 & 2 Friday & Saturday night in Vernon to face the 1st place Vipers who are coming off a 1st Round Playoff Bye. This will be the 3rd straight year both these two teams have met in the Playoffs.
