I didnt have a game pass to the entire Centennial Cup that year, but I did get out to and watch all the Lakers games during the 1990 Centennial Cup.

I remember meeting Howie Meeker during one of the games. I still have the signed Centennial Cup poster he signed for me that game.

I remember thinking after Lakers goaltender Dean Kutz took a five minute slashing major and the Lakers down 5-2 going into the 3rd period with Murray Caton now in goal, this game was all over. Boy was I wrong. Arguably the most exciting game I have ever witnessed, still goes down as the the greatest comeback & greatest game in Vernon Junior Hockey history.

I taped that game on TSN and still have it on VHS. I have watched that tape atleast fifteen times over since then. I still get chivers watching Cam Sylvens overtime winner.

Its a shame the Vipers couldnt have won the RBC Cup last season on home ice.

Since the 1990 Centennial Cup I have travelled to Camrose, Victoria and Dauphin to watch the Vipers in the Royal Bank Cup.
vipersdiehardfanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17917214606291534493noreply@blogger.com
