  1. Looks like this kid can put up a few points. Has a couple of years of Jr experiance and still just 18 years old. Looking fwd to seeing the new collection of Vipers.

  2. I see the Vipers have added a new signing, an 18 year old forward for the up coming season. He sounds like a good player that has played two years of junior hockey already. I like his stats and size. We'll see what comes of him. It looks like the original posting of this on instagram was on March 30th, why haven't the Vipers said anything? Thanks for posting this Diehard. Go Vipers Go!

  3. They’ve signed quite a few forwards. Either they have few returning players or several of these boys won’t make it past September.

  4. Lots of kids with good stats came into camp last year and they were released pretty quickly.

    1. True but cooke inherited a team from previous year ,the beauty is that this coming season it will be his team, they hired him last July 3 weeks before training camp no time to recruit going to be different this year

  5. I like the sounds of this kid. He's only 18 but has some size and has two years experience playing junior hockey in Ontario with pretty good stats last season.

The Vipers have recruited/signed 12 players for the 2026-27 season.

One of my biggest concerns is no matter who is recruited or signed for next season or players that will be returning from last season, the biggest question is how many of those players will stick around? With the NCAA rule changes during the 2024-25 season saw the Vipers have 57 players play for them during the 2024-25 season and 65 players played with the Vipers during the 2025-26 season. If I'm correct I think Vernon had the most or were at least near the top when it come to having the most players in one season the past two seasons. Since the NCAA rule changes during the 2024-25 season, almost every team has had difficulty keeping players as players are coming and going from team to team through out the league, it's just some teams have more players coming and going then others.

  6. Yes, if Dorocy's goal is an NCAA scholarship he will be sacrificing a potential year of schooling by playing for the Vipers this coming season.

The "ticking clock" is now a big concern for all players. I think it will have a bigger effect on players coming to the BCHL than the other decision to allow Major Junior player eligibility for NCAA. As I have previously said "young players simply have better options than the BCHL", it is no longer the best developmental route. I think we better prepare for another year of players coming and going.
