Vernon-Prince George Trade:

The Vernon Vipers have traded the playing rights of 19 year old

goaltender Marko Bilic to the Prince George Spruce Kings for future considerations.

Bilic split the 2024-25 season with the Vernon Vipers & North American Hockey League Maryland B;ack Bears.

The Vernon Vipers signed Bilic May 20th 2024. The Vernon Vipers announced January 23rd 2025 Bilic was no longer with the team. Bilic joined the North American Hockey League Maryland Black Bears in late January 2025. In 14 games with the Vernon Vipers, Bilic went 3-8-1 with a 3.52 GAA

  1. That makes two former Viper goaltenders with the Spruce Kings now. Colin Reay (remember him?) is still with the Kings. Continuing with the former Viper theme....... Isaac Holt is now the captain in Prince George.

  2. I liked Bilic but he didn't have much help in front of him, playing for one of the league's worst teams last season. I'm guessing with the trade today, the Vipers are pleased with the two goaltenders they have?

    Kind of funny Bilic ends up in Prince George and reunites with Isaac Holt and Colin Reay as the three were with the Vipers to start the 2024-25 season.

    1. I really don't think its funny but actually embarrassing. If you were to take all the Vipers who were traded or wanted out under the John Glenn regime we would have a really good team inmy opinion.
