We could also say that when this team mature's and starts to gel by listening to what Mark Ferner has to say and believe it. I say watch out because the Vernon Vipers will be a force in this league.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05300678883507966226noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3758343892805191083.post-23591167835372245522016-11-13T08:10:03.513-08:002016-11-13T08:10:03.513-08:00The Vipers and the Vees are built similarly with l...The Vipers and the Vees are built similarly with lots of talent, lots of speed, some size and reasonably good goal tending. Where they differ is in the the style of game they play. The Vees play a high tempo "puck possession" game while the Vipers consistently play a "dump and chase" game. The Vees frequently carry the puck into the opposition end and only dump it in if they have no other choice or have a better than average chance of regaining control. Watch how many times in a game Vernon has control of the puck and prefers to give up possession and then fight to get it back. It is "old school game" vs "modern game". The Vees organization clearly has the upper hand in their coaching direction. They has evolved with the game and the Vipers have not. But in the second period they let Penticton out muscle them to the puck and have there way. You can't do that with a team like penticton it will cost you. It's a learning curve and hopefully by looking at the video of the game the Vipers will become better by it and prove it the next time there on the ice.
